We are delighted to announce that R. Eric Williams, MAI, has joined Shackelford & Associates as a Certified General Appraiser. Eric holds his Certified General license in North Carolina, Texas, and Florida, and he carries the esteemed MAI designation from the Appraisal Institute. With over 30 years of experience appraising a diverse array of property types—including office, retail, self-storage, industrial, religious facilities, schools, and complex residential assignments—Eric brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to our firm.

A graduate of the U.S. Military Academy at West Point with a B.S. in Human Resources Management and a concentration in Business Administration, Eric also holds a Master’s Degree in Biblical Studies from Dallas Theological Seminary. He will be working out of our Greenville office, where he currently resides with his family. We’re excited to have Eric on board and look forward to the valuable contributions he will make to our continued pursuit of excellence in real estate appraisal. Go Army!

We’re excited to announce that Kim Rucker, our former office manager, has transitioned into the role of a full-time real estate appraiser. Kim joined our firm in 2012 as a part-time secretary, bringing nine years of administrative experience. Over the years, she took on full-time responsibilities and became our office manager, demonstrating exceptional leadership and efficiency.

Her interest in real estate appraisal grew as she assisted with research and data entry, making the transition to a full-time appraiser a natural progression. Kim’s academic background includes a Magna Cum Laude degree in Business Administration from East Carolina University, with concentrations in Finance and Management.

Originally from the northeastern part of the state, Kim now resides in Greenville with her two children. We’re proud of her achievements and excited to support her in this new role. Welcome to the appraisal team, Kim!

We are excited to announce that Lori Speice has joined Shackelford & Associates as a Certified Residential Appraiser. Lori’s impressive career includes over two decades in accounting, finance, and business planning, enriching our team with her extensive expertise.

Lori holds a Bachelor of Arts in Industrial Relations with a Minor in Spanish from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and her MBA from East Carolina University.

A native of New Bern, where she currently resides, Lori’s deep understanding of the local real estate market makes her a significant addition to our team.
